NUTRITION TIP OF THE DAY
My two-cents-worth; if you're going to add a store-bought sauce, read the label. STAY AWAY from the sauces that contain high fructose corn syrup... it's the DEVIL I tell ya!
Have a great day!

Always coordinate your other jewelry to complement your home restraint ankle bracelet. Turn your 20th Century Scarlet "A" into a fun and fashionable accessory! I like to take a hot glue gun and attach dried flowers or rinestones - just be careful not to burn that tender anle skin! I use a soothing blend of plain yogurt and moldy cucumber to ease the sting when I get a little too close with the glue.0 -
I actually buy brown rice spagetti noodles too. It takes a little longer to cook (15-17 minutes) but I really like it.
I also really like your ankle braclet.

PS. Did you ever answer my question as to whether you were going to be Ms. July or Mr. July in the colander?0 -

I moved away from Key West about 10 years ago. I left my party dress behind. I'll be MR. July (with all of the requisite testosterone)!!

BROWN RICE IS NICE!
There are many types to choose from too so have fun---brown sticky rice is great for sushi, there's jasmine and basmati, long grain, short grain.....
Only whole grain rice is worth putting into your body. White is stripped of all worthy nutrients and fiber.
We also use brown rice noodles--but for spaghetti or veggie on pasta we use soba noodles (buckwheat) that you find in the oriental section (of natural foods stores) and they are soooo good.
Rice A Roni doesn't count on this does it SB??

Sea salt is an awesome additon - to just about everything. The difference in flavor is amazing. There is also a Grey Salt that is worth trying - my favorite! It is from the Brittany seabeds on the west coast of France; has a high mineral content/flavor - softer level of saltiness.tkd3g said:Thanks George.
I like my brown rice with a dash of sea salt. That's it. Yum.

I'd also encourage purchasing the best quality hebs/spices around. The initial expense might seem high, but they add so much (and are normally organic - even from Williams-Sonoma or Sur la Table).
Buying a really good olive oil is another great investment. Adds a ton of flavor to even rice and helps with the cooking process. Most good ones are organic - although only a few will bother printing it on the label.0 -
The findings of a 2003 study conducted by the internationally renowned Rowett Research Institute in the United Kingdom show that eating kiwifruit daily can provide substantial protection against the kind of DNA damage that may cause cancer.taunya said:But is it good with beer??!!

A significant increase in DNA repair was seen even after eating just one kiwifruit a day. However, after three kiwifruit per day, the rate increased by two-thirds. Dr. Collins was extremely excited by this new finding to such an extent that he has become a daily kiwifruit eater!0 -
