Hair loss

I had CHOP for chemo and was advised I would loose my hair. Sure did, completely bald 3wks. later I found it was God's way of getting me to the doctor several times a week. My lack of strength was major. I was able to shower and go to the doctor I did not cover my head as is caused me more discomfort than people looking at me. I was actually approached by people congratulating me on my comfort of being hairless and no head cover.
My second chemo for different cancer was FU5. It thinned my hair incredibily and texture changed. No long term effects. good luck to you0 -
Hi, I received 6 months of Carboplatin, Taxotere, and Herceptin and am still getting the Herceptin. It seemed that it took a while for my hair to start thinning, but when it did, it was all coming out. So, I buzzed my head and eventually, I was bald. This was my second round with chemo so I knew what to expect. What I didn't expect though, was that it felt like after I finished the carb. and tax., my hair was never going to grow back. Then, all of the sudden it was growing every which way. Hang in there, it'll come back!

Thank you for the input. I think this time if it all falls out I will just spray paint my head and call it a "close shave"!dmarie1010 said:Hi, I received 6 months of Carboplatin, Taxotere, and Herceptin and am still getting the Herceptin.
