Pregnancy Heart Problems

I have been in remission for 10 years and am now 4 months pregnant. I saw my OB on Friday and we discussed my cancer treatment in detail. When she learned that I had adriamycin (ABVD) in addition to radiation to my chest, she said that I needed to see a cardiologist this week. I'm really concerned and was wondering if anyone else has had any heart complications during pregnancy because of Hodgkin's treatment and what was done about it? I've heard all sorts of crazy stories such as forced C-sections and not being allowed to go into hard labor.

Well I went to the doctor today and he said that it appears that I have no heart damage from the chemo and radiation! I was so relieved.
    That's cool about your doxie!!!

I have been in remission from Hodgkins disease for 15 years and have two healthy children ages 6 and 8. I did not have any complications during pregnancy although I had an emergent C-section with my first but was able to have a V-Bac with my second. I do not have any heart problems, but I do have COPD (pulmonary disease) as a result of my radiation treatment. I have stayed very healthy other than getting out of breath very easily. Dawn
