As a corollary to Emily's recent post on foods that are good for fighting cancer, I received this from a very dear friend this morning and wanted to share it with you all. I recommen reading this while you enjoy a big, thick, cold salmon/grapefruit/strawberry/soybean/brussle sprout smoothie:

"I picked up a great food-list for my refrige....
at the ends of the spectrum are these notes.

> EXTREMELY ALKALINE FORMING:
> meditation
> prayer
> peace
> kindness
> love

> EXTREMELY ACID FORMING:
> overwork
> anger
> fear
> jealousy
> stress"

This stresses an alkaline body pH - sounds to me more like just a good way to order your life.

    One of the best postings, and a wonderful reminder! Thanks!.. oh.. and Since DARK chocolate is a feel good kind of thing.. it must be alkaline right?!? ..and the acids that you mention.. settle in the Liver and become toxic! Sooo.. get rid of em'!! Awesome posting sponger!

    OK... Emily, I need to know about this. I was actually going to go to the pharmacy and ask because I want to keep an eye on my own ph. Send me an email. Huggs my sweet alkaline friend!

    I get the strips from the coop. Cancer likes acid so key is to stay neutral 7.0 range.

    Sponger!! We have nothing to hide here. Heck I'm always telling you the color of my poop for crying out loud!! duh, orange or blue.

    But I wanna know about the VERY DEAR FRIEND!! Give it up dude or the bunny gets it.

    I don't make deals with terrorists. The bunny will be a MARTYR! The highschool is already in the process of changing its name.

    As for acid... just remember, 'shrooms are ALKALINE!!
