fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma

Ihavent posted since Jan.05. My stepson has this cancer (diagnosed in Jan. 04, with symptoms staring in the fall of "03) and was given 6 months dec 04. To those with questions I dont know how to contact you to respond personally so you can email me at kelcamky@yahoo.com if you want. My stepson is now doing an experimental chemo treatment in Toronto Canada and it consists of one treatment of 2 hours, then he returns again for the same thing three weeks later( with on going blood work )and then if ct scans show any improvement he gets one more treatment. there are no side effects. He is feeling okay he says. the cancer is now throughout his body. Liver, lungs and lymph nodes. He recently had a fund raiser for cancer research and raised over 10,000 dollars.

    How is your step son doing? I know it is hard to keep going through all this. Not able to make any plans or know what is going to happen next. I did want to let you know that I found a site for this type of cancer. They just started and have put a message board up as well. Please feel free to stop by and check it out. www.deliveracure.org

    I thought I would pass this on-some may know about it and some may not. If you do not have insurance or Medicaid to pay for your prescription drugs you take at home, go onto the web site www.needymeds.com , depending on your income (which includes Social Security Disability) you can receive your meds free of charge or at a lower cost. The site is very self explanatory. It does take a little time to process and receive your meds for the first time, but you can have your doctor help push it along. My daughter receives her meds free of charge as she is on disability only. Good luck to all!!! Note: We did find one (1) of her meds are not listed; Enulose.
