I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO HAVE OUR OWN CHAT ROOM? I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE IN THE MAIN CHAT ROOM ANYMORE. I FEEL AS IF I DO NOT FIT IN. WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE GIRLS?

    Hello,

Please know that you may want to use an "open" chat room (one of the chat rooms that is vacant) at anytime for the purpose of a specialized chat. Also know that we are hoping that later this year we will roll out a new chat room function that will allow different topics for chat rooms. We appreciate you patience and hope that you will find support through this discussion board and the existing chat room in the meantime.

    Take care and be well,

There is a lesbian cancer chat room at gay.com under the women's solection. It is often empty but I do know there are many that belong to gay.com I hope this helps you find a place that you too can be comfortable talking with others and you might want to try some of the lesbian cancer sites to find something that might suit you better.
At the time I was dx'd 8 years ago, there werent' any lesbian support groups but since learned there was one but it was underground not any good to those of us who knew nothing about it. About four years ago our cancer centre started the first gay cancer support group in Canada and what a relief for those coming after me.
    Be good to yourself always,

    Hello
I'm Linda from Ohio. Diagnosed with retro paritoneal sarcoma last March. A rare fatty tumor that grew so large it crushed my Kidney and some inttestine. Been looking for a Lesbian cancer survivor support group that would enable me to chat on-line comfortably. This is scarey stuff, and since my surgery I've had anxiety attacks that have been horific. Flash backs from the drugs keep me staring at the walls at times. They said they got the encapsulated tumor out. No need for chemo or radiation. Scheduled for MRI's every 3 months for the next 2 years. I have been in shock, stunned at what has just happened to me. No history of cancer on either side of family. Please let me know when a lesbian chat for cancer patients and survivors will be available? God bless you!
    Linda
