Thank you so much for letting us know about Jeans death. I feel so bad but know she is no longer in pain and finally at peace. I too am almost a 5 year survivor here and remember Jean for being so kind, and always having a thoughtful thing to say. She will always be remembered. HUGS!! Cathy0

Nancy,
Thank you for sharing this sad news. Jean was one of the first gals that responded to my post when I was dx with mets in Jan of 2004. She was always researching and sharing her findings with us...she always had such kind words to say. I'm so sorry to hear this and my prayers to you and Jean's family during this difficult time.
warmly,

REST IN PEACE, JEAN MILLER
Thanks for this information Nancy. I have been thinking of Jean for the past month or so and had no response to my last email to her.
Jean was a real trooper and I know that she did not want to share much of her final stages with us here. She felt that it would be depressing and/or negative to the friends she would leave behind. I understood and respected her wishes on this.
I first met Jean, here, about 4 years ago. Early on, we shared some political views and had many laughs about them. She was a well informed lady and the socio/political underpinnings of our world, was of great interest to her. And as other's have stated, she was an excellent researcher and shared a lot of good information on our board and was always encouraging to everyone, but at the same time, she was pragmatic about things. I especially appreciated that quality about Jean and I so admired her courage!
I will lovingly remember Jean and it is comforting to know that she was so very well cared for during her passing.
**Since Jean was not married and did not have children, do you know of any address/orgainsation, Nancy, to where one may send a card/contribution in memoriam?
Sincerely,

Ink, The hospice had a problem with the computer over the last several months but if you sent emails to Jean, she did get them. Her very dear friend, Mary, transfered all of Jean's email to her computer, printed them out , and delivered them to Jean at the hospital. You knew Jean as well as I knew her and she was courageous and strong until the end. I worried so about her because she did not have family but soon found out that she had a wide circle of loving friends who visited often and did many sweet things for her. About cards or contributions, I can ask Mary what she would suggest. Jean had one close cousin in NC and I have her email address also. My guess would be a contribution to the cancer society if you wanted to do that. I know Jean planned to leave something for this worthy cause. I hope Jean can look down and see everyone who remembers her with such love and respect. Nancyinkblot said:REST IN PEACE, JEAN MILLER
