Arimidex Side Effects

I've been on Arimidex for almost 3 years. After reading the message boards, misery loves company! I too have been on a l-o-n-g search for anything and everything to help relieve the side effects and make it through the next two years. I offer these and, because everyone reacts differently, they may or may not help you. But I've been willing to try just about anything - within reason! Glucosamin/chronodritin/MSM supplements; fish oil capsules, evening primrose capsules, ginger capsules and tumeric capsules along with a variety of other vitamin and mineral supplements; Celebrex 200 mg - one a day which all testing has shown NO problems with; regular neuro-muscular massage to help keep everything moving and flowing; regular exercise program; cut way back or out all the "white" stuff and caffeine - check out the anti-inflammation diets on line; cherry juice concentrate in my morning juice - you can order on line from a number of orchards like Amon; every time I think of it, especially in the evening while watching TV, massaging my hands and fingers to help the inflammation and soreness. I tried acupuncture without much success, although it has helped others. It has all definitely made a difference - although I can't image what it'd be like without everything I'm doing! But I'm active, work in the yard, presently painting the house trim, travel - and am 59. I had a small tumor, negative nodes, but decided to try and go down this path only once and pulled out all the stops - bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction; chemo (although they said I didn't need it); Arimidex, just as it came on the market. So that's my story - anything else I can offer in the way of info or help, please let me know!

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I've heard cherry juice mentioned before, can't remember if it was for arthritis or what, but had forgotten about it. Sounds good, think I'll try to get some. I'm already on the glucosamine and avoid caffiene. I take an occasional Aleve, but like to try to avoid pain meds if I can. I, also, find massaging my hands and fingers helps a little.

Good luck and God bless! Di
