Anyone know much about the FOLFIRI regimen? Is it harder than the FOLFOX?? I'm really nervous about starting something new and haven't really been able to find much info on it. Any info will be appreciated, as I start it Thursday. Love you all

Judy, I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about FOLFIRI. But I just read your earlier posting and thought I'd respond here in case you were done checking the other one. Judy, I'm so impressed with your energy and your fighting spirit--it sounds as though you've had another extremely tough and scary bout with the recent trip to the hospital, and here you are, on to the next step. Talk about Living Strong!
I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking about you and sending you positive energy as you face this next round. One day at a time.0 -
HI Judy.
I'm sorry I don't know about that treatment either. Can the docs give you any more information? How about the chemo nurses, they are usually a wealth of info.
You are such a strong lady. You have been put to the test and keep on going. An inspiration to us all.
We are all here for you. Prayers are coming your way. Let us know how you make out.
Love,

HI
I am french canadian so forgive my english mistakes
My brother had 22 treatments of folfiri...
I cannot tell you if it harder than folfox..he will start folfox in 3 weeks.
I know he had nausea...he was not feeling great for a couple days..after that he was ok...He did not loose his hair...
He told me: it is not too bad.I know after going to hospital he had to carry that bottle with some treatment in it...for 2 days.
He said nurses and doctors are there when he has the treatment..so nothing bad can happen.
I wish you the best of luck.
Prayers are on your way...HUGS!0
