Fertility?

I am almost 25 and going into my 5 year year of remission. I believe I was a stage 2. I received radiation to the neck and stomach. At the time of my diagnosis in Montreal, Quebec my fertility was not addressed. Now my doctor says I should be fine. I don't plan on having children until I finish university and get married. However, I still wonder whether I will be able to have children, will I have a higher probability of miscarriage/still birth, and will my children have a greater chance of birth defects? What were your experiences?

    Hello,

You may want to consider contacting the American Cancer Society's National Cancer Information Center. By using the "Contact ACS" button at the top of the screen you can contact Cancer Information Specialists who may be able to assist you with your question.

    Take care and be well,

I also find it helpful to go to the lukemia and lymphoma society website where there are specific boards on very specific topics - http://www.lls.org/hm_lls
