dear nettie,
I am so sorry to hear your news. ((((((nettie & family))))))
I hope you will read A Cancer Battle Plan by Anne Frahm
and When Hope Never Dies by Marlene McKenna.
They are testimonies to beating the odds.
My heart goes out to you. I understand the thought of young ones--my baby was 20 months old at the time of my dx and with 5 kids, the thought........well.....I just didn't want to think about the other option.....
You continue to be in my prayers. you are strong. You can do this.

Nettie, I am so sorry that youre having such a rough time, Thought for a while that I was the only one on here that ever had bad news. I am glad that your faith is strong, Mine has gotten stronger since having cancer. I will be praying that you will be able to have some treatment so that you can eventually have surgery and go for a cure, Again, I'm sorry for your news, I know what a blow news like this can be. If you need to talk, let me know. I care.
Love and prayers, Judy(grandma047)0 -
Dear Nettie,
I am so sorry that your procedure was postponed. Hopefully, the oncologist will find the right regimen for you so that surgery becomes an option again.
Will be thinking of you and your family. Please keep us informed and remember, we are here for you!

You have the courage of a lioness. Just remember Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego - thrown into Nabudchanezzur's (sp?) furnace - It wasn't hot - because of their faith. Keep your faith strong. There is a plan. There is a silver lining. God is with you - even though you may be compelled to doubt that sometimes.
Stay strong, be well

Nettie,
Surgery has never been an option for my stage IV diagnosis. I tried the horrid chemo route for 8 months and felt like the chemo was killing me. I decided I would rather die from the cancer then the chemo given the 2 options from my doctor. I did some research and decided to try alternatives like Emily mentions above. I am now stable (and soon to be better when I have my next tests). Chemo and surgery are not your only options!!!!!!! Try God's approach. Fix what is really broken inside of you with a better diet and other things. Cancer thrives inside of our bodies unless we stop feeding the **** cells. Frustrate the demons and change what made them comfortable within your body in the first place.
Stay strong and don't ever give in to the ****!!!!!
Fight like you have never fought before. Changing the battle plan every once in a while might not be a bad idea.

Oh Nettie, I am so very sorry. My heart fell when I saw the title of your post.
Again, your attitude is amazing. Keep up your fighting spirit. I am so glad you have your strong faith.... let it give you more power. Ever since my diagnosis I feel much more in touch with god. Try to enjoy each moment.
You continue to be a role model for us all.
I feel a bond with you, and pray you will beat this beast. You remain with me. A friend told me just the knowledge that you have prayers in your name all around the world helps.. you have that.
Peace to you and your loved ones. jana0 -
Sorry and saddened to read your news but lifted by your continued fabulous attitude and spirit. We all live under teh shadow of this monster no matter how long we are since treatment, what stage we are at or what our illness was. We all learn ways to live despite all this and I am so pleased to know you continue to live your life to the fullest in all your roles - mother, friend, survivor- you are a role model to us all.
My thoughts are with you,

Nettie--I am sorry I have not been around to answer your posts..bin awol working again. I went to the doc today for bloods. My normal GP was on holidays so I got a young lady filling in. She said as she is an intern she asks her cancer patients hoew do they explain how they feel emotionally. I told her that emotional trauma effects us all but we have access to a "family" that supports each other because "we know", and only cancer sufferers know, how we feel. She said it never ceases to amaze her how people with such a horrid disease are able to cope. I told her we cope because we know the meaning of the words "love, hope, faith" and the meaning of the word "support".steved said:Sorry and saddened to read your news but lifted by your continued fabulous attitude and spirit. I want you to know that I think about you and pray for you almost every day. I am so sorry to hear the news the surgeon told you, however, like everyone has said, dont give up. I think you are so courageous and so strong. Your faith is amazing and when you think about it, it is all we really have. I know exactly the image that went in your mind when the dr said that to you. I did the same thing when they told me of cancer. All I could think about was my children and the fact that I was a single mom, and who would take care of them....but you are STILL here and still taking care of them.
Like you said, you are thankful for every day you wake up and are still a friend, mom, sister, and wife. Remember, NONE of us know from day to day if we will be here in the morning. We are supposed to live for this day..Matt 6:24...tomorrow has enough worries of its own. Enjoy every day knowing that God is going to take care of the tomorrow for you and for your family. I hope you dont think I am preaching to you. I know we have all walked in your shoes up to a point, but I am not where you are at this moment. Keep on trusting God to take care of you and your family. I know He will...and I will continue to pray for you. I wish I were there to give you a hug. When you can, email me and let me know if there is anything specific that you would like me to do or pray.
Love and much prayers

Dear Nettie,
It is breaking my heart to hear that you are so down. I am so impressed by your strength and determination. I am praying for youa dn your family. I am hoping that you are able to get healthy enough to have this surgery once and for all. I would be making you tea and biscuits while you play with your kids if I were close. I can only send my heartfelt hugs and positive thoughts. I am thinking of you often. You can do it. Keep fighting 'till you beat it.
Love and All Good Thoughts,
Taunya0
