For those of you who up to it contact your media in your area to make sure they are informing the public of the importance of pre-screening. See if there are any events that you could attend to talk about this disease, treatment, and our experience, strength and hope. We are having local radio and tv coverage, county employees turning 50 or older will have the opportunity to attend an educational Fabulous Fifties Celebration, etc. Glad to see national magazine advertisement and television ads on this subject.

My stage III tumor plus lymph nodes was discovered through a baseline colonoscopy as well, after my symptoms had been igmored for years by my GI specialist. Everyone I know ran right out and got their 50 year check-up. I'm glad to be told about March providing another opportunity for this kind of education.jsabol said:Hi,
My stage III cancer was diagnosed when they found one polyp on my baseline colonscopy; turned out to be positive. You can bet I'm a strong advocate for baseline screening; just ask my friends and family! Judy0
