Tumor markers

Could tm rise be linked to anything else other than cancer? My CA 27-29 has risen over the past year from normal to 120. I have benign growths in my liver. Could it possibly be from that or something else.
I would love to hear from someone whos been there. Thank you so much

Hi Jayne,
I believe there are a number of reasons which can be responsible for rising tumor markers. That is why some doctors don't even use them. One reason I know to be true is taking certain supplements like flaxseed. What has your doctor indicated he will do because of the rise?
