RCC 4th Stage

My father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney cancer that spread to his bones and one lung. He has been batteling it for over a year now. If anyone has any new knowledge of clinical trials going on that would great. We have been working with Sloan-Kettering and Johns-Hopkins. Also if there are any Stage 4 survivors out there, please any words of advice and encouragement would be helpful.

    You may want to contact the American Cancer Society's National Cancer Informtion Center . Cancer Information Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-227-2345. They may be able to assist you with resources for finding a clinical trial.

    Hey Teesa,

    You couldn't be in better hands than by working with Sloan and Hopkins. Sloan is #1 in the world for cancer treatment as a whole, and Hopkins is #1 in several areas of cancer research. A good friend of mine is an oncology fellow there. Just don't be afraid to ask them lots of questions.

    How do you find out what places are the best -- whose treatment success rates are the highest -- for a particular kind of cancer? I too am interested in kidney cancer in particular.

    My husband was dianosed with stage 4 renal carcenomia
    moved to both lungs ans back 13 weeks ago , if you know any treat ments please let me know
    The dr, says there are nothing else they can do
