going back on chemo

Bonnie, thanks for letting us know your progress. My CA 125 isn't a good marker, so I have to depend on scans. Have finished one cycle of topotecan, and the doc wants to do four before assessing the effectiveness. If not good, I'll either do Doxil, as well, or maybe get into the TLK-286 trial. Have you asked about that? It's for third-line chemo patients, and the drug sounds promising. It's a Phase III, and you are randomized either to Doxil or the TLK-286.
I am sending you lots of bright light and prayers of health, and that the Doxil is the ticket!

Hi I'm new here. I'm looking to go back on chemo again. This will my third time. I've been on carbo. and taxol. I've had recations to this combo the last time I was on it. My doctor is looking to maybe start me on Topotecan HCL or Doxil. My marker wasn't good in Dec. It went up to 600. Had a CT Scan on monday. Haven't heard anything back yet. I'm scared this time.
I'll be thinking a praying that you won't get sick.0 -
Bonnie Rose,
I was upset to read that you are going back on chemo. I am currrently on carbo but will be switched to Doxil soon. What chemo will you be on this time?
I will pray that God surrounds you with healing light and love. Please let us know how things are going.
Hugs & Prayers,
Sandi

Thank you everyone for the nice notes. I had my cry and now am ready for the next of chemo. I did get out icefishing and plan to go again next weekend.
Happy Birthday Sandi! When is your birthday? Maybe this year the Doxil is the drug to give us a break. I'll be thinking of you and sending up prayers.

I had a good cry, also, today. I'm 40 and not ready to give up. Its just hard to have keep going through this all the time. I'm sure you all know how it is.
Hope it wasn't to cold for you when you went ice fishing. And that you had fun.
Thanks for listening and letting me post with you.

Happy birthday, Bonnie! We just celebrated my father-in-law's birthday on Feb. 2. I bought him a Punxatawney Phil beanie baby for it. I hope you enjoy your birthday.BonnieR said:Mary sorry you are having to go back on chemo again also. Pray your pictures come out good and the the chemo kicks your cancers butt. :-)
