    Hello,

I am sorry you are having such a difficult time. You may want to try some of our cancer specific discussion boards as I do not think you will find that problem there. You may also want to contact the American Cancer Society's National Cancer Information Center. They may be able to assist you in finding additional support in your community. Cancer Information Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-227-2345.

I wish you well and hope this information has been helpful.

I know all to well the feelings you are having. I have survived so much over my life that cancer is just something else I have had to wrap my brain around. I had just moved in with my lover after dating long distance for over 4.5 years only to be dx'd 6 months into our new life together. My partner is still with me 8 years later and I have had to watch cousins, my mother in-law and numerous friends sucome to their disease. Quilt is something that hits us when we least expect it and often sends me into a total depression. There was a time I felt like I was having a nervous breakdown because of all the Guilt. I have since decided that I have survived so that I can be the one to tell stories of my life so that others won't have to suffer as I have done.
I always think being gay is hard enough then we have to throw in all the other threats to our lives, just like we were normal...
Hang in there freakygirl, with time we do get more comfortable with ourselves along with all our feelings. I live now for those who have gone before and after me because that is what they would of wanted.
    Be good to yourself always,
    Tara
