The bills after

I feel like I have beat the cancer. I had a complete hysterectomy November 1, 2004. But now I'm afraid to check the mail or answer the phone.
My Insurance will not pay the hospital bills.
I have work for this company for 12 years same insurance and they say they will not paid. I was off work 2 months I'm behind in my rent.
I'm back to work it is the only thing at keeps mine mind off my troubles. I live alone just me and my cat Daniel. The kids or out on there own. Just wish I knew what to do.

Thank you for this information. I will give them a call and see if they know of where I can go to get help. And again thank you for a life line.unknown said:This comment has been removed by the Moderator

Missduckie,
The most important thing to do is contact the hospital and explain your situation.
Our insurance didn't cover my pre admission tests (of which there was many!) When my husband went to talk to the hospital about a payment plan, they informed him that if you have to "self pay", there was a 65% discount(!). Apparently this is not unusual and maybe your hospital offers something similar.
In any regard, this won't go away if you *don't* do anything so I would contact the hospital ASAP and hope for the best. Remember their goal is to get paid and they'd rather do it slowly in small bits than not al all.
Good Luck and God Bless You0
