Dear Kanga,
I'm not sure of our time difference, but I guess it won't be long until you begin your scans. Just took a moment to ask God to keep you healthy and strong! He knows how much we need you in the NED room so everything will be fine.
Let us know as soon as you know.
Love,

Kanga,
I remember well the anxiety that went with those initial follow-up scans. I HATED them...and it took all my strength just to get myself to go. Well, 6 years later, and several clear scans, and all is well. In fact, I ran 12 miles on New Year's Day (7 with my friends and 5 with my 12 year old daughter) and still had the energy to take my sons for a hike later in the day. I will keep you in my thoughts, but I have a very good feeling that all will be well. Courage Kanga!!0 -
Not to worry, mate. I know you will be bringing us some goood news. And I am always right. About everything.
We opened up some Old Fat **** for the New Year's rib roast. No, not the guy from Austin Powers. It was a nice fruity merlot with a quirky personality (according to the label) They also make a shiraz. And the company donates money to cancer causes. So drink up - it can't hurt.

Kanga & Jen,
You are in my prayers every single day. You both deserve this year to be a wonderfully, healthy and happy one - we all, survivors and caregivers alike, do.
Please keep the positive thoughts at the forefront of your mind, repeat a positive mantra (mine is "my body has the power and is healing itself") and repeat it over and over and over....never doubt the power of the mind.
Keep us posted (hey, pun intended!).
Take care, always,

I'm BACCCKKKK!!! Thanks guys for all your prayers and kind words. I had a lovely young lady called Julie-Anne look after me. Gee--she has a busy day scanning about 15 patients a day. She told me they are extremely carefull doing the ultrasound and not only check my liver but also they scan all the other upper abdomen as well. She said that ultrasounds are able to pick up anything that is 1/2 a centimetre in size or larger--sometimes with care they can find smaller stuff.Fitlisa said:Kanga & Jen,

I won't get results 'til sometime next week, so here's hoping.
Hey Runner. I am not quite up to running 12 miles yet--that may take a while but at least I do have the energy(sometimes) to do some stuff around our new home.
Sponger--waddayamean??, correct eeeeennglish??? I gave Jen a kiss this morning when she left for work and said, "seeyaladerbaby". Jen never batted an eyelid n understood me perfectly!
Emily---go down tha corridor past E ward, hang a right, go past the cafeteria, look for tha sign that says, "No evil demons, NED ROOM", walk right in and pull up a recliner. Chances are if you move quickly we will have a spare can of V-8 juice in tha fridge for you. Aww--then again how's about you knock us up some freshly squeezed juice of your choice!
Asp---I am glad you said Trivial pursuit--any reference to the other "s----l pursuit" here would have had Sponger going into heart spasms
lol!!
Lisa--I just keep reminding myself that others need the prayers more than me sweetie.
luv n huggs all round guys, kanga n Jen0 -
Woowee, I do love me some Shiraz! Goodest of all luck to ya on the scans. I am sure you are going to be fine. The waiting is the WORST! Let us know right away. I am sending my good scan mojo over the ocean. Can you feel it?
Love and Hugs and an anti-worry donut,
Taunya
Sheesh, I write this thing and THEN read down to find, it's a done deal already! I am still sending the mojo, there is no way to stop it once it's started. Here's to a worry free wait.0 -
