You know, goldfinch...
I am glad you are trying to think positive thoughts. And I know it sounds cliche, but you said "When i was diagnosed and going thru treatment for the rectal cancer i never thought of death as being an option. now that it may be in my lungs it suddenly seems like a possibility."
People die every day in traffic accidents... especially on trips from VT to CT (I think it's all the NY drivers on the roads).
We face the dangers of death being an option every day. I hope you stay positive and don't dwell on it and get out there and live every day!
have a great day - and ENJOY it!

Jana, How can you miss New England when you got snow over Christmas in south Texas? Ha! I was there over the holidays hooked up to the infusion machines taking chemo. Yuck and it was so COLD.jana11 said:lung nodules don't equal death!!! Just means more treatments. If it is more cancer, it means more treatments, not less life. There are always new treatments and drugs.
Try to smile and enjoy New England!!! I used to live there and miss it terribly.

Goldfinch, I'm going my second round of treatment for recurrance - my death from this disease is NOT an option to me at this point. I'll probably get hit by these Houston drivers first. New stuff is coming down the pipeline everyday.. Hang in there, stay positive.
