Hi All,

Firstly, I want to wish each and every one of you a safe and happy holiday season and I truly hope that 2005 will be a healthy year for all of us.

I want to recommend a great book that I read when I was first diagnosed in May, 2004 and have re-read it numerous times over the past months. Its called "Cancer, 50 Essential Things to Do" by a survivor named Greg Anderson. This book totally changed the way I now look at my diagnosis. Also, as its written by a survivor he has a unique perspective and he writes in short paragraphs as we all know that "chemo brain" is real and, for me anyway, it made retention of information hard while I was going through chemo. Since the paragraphs are short, you can actually read and absorb them. I highly recommend this book to all survivors and caregivers.

Take care all!!!

Lisa

    Hi Lisa,

I am a caregiver to my husband -- but I also wanted to say that Anderson's book was very inspirational to even me (the one without cancer). If you are a survivor or caregiver, this book will really help you think about this disease as a very beatable little monster. I gave it to a friend who is battling Leukemia -- she also enjoyed it! Lisa, thanks for sharing it with everyone!

    Take care,
    Jackie
