following prostate surgery in March of this year I suffer from erectile dysfunction. Medications such as Viagra and MUSE have not helped. Has anyone had any success with vaccuum therapy systems. This is very frustrating and would appreciate your input.

I also had an RP in March of this year. I am also having problems with ED or impotence. I have tried Viagra with absolutely no luck (just a headache). The vacuum device works but the results are not as good as the injection. The injection is closer to natural. I will continue to use it as long as necessary. It works for me and my wife. I hope this helps with your decision. Contact me by e-mail if you have specific questions. Good luck with your recovery.

Thanks so much to both of you fellows that replied to my message. Next time I see my Dr. I am going to speak to him about the injections. Hope both of you have a great holiday.

Hi, I had my surgery in March 04 with only 50% nerve spearing surgery. Injections work fine for me. No luck with Viagra. I have noticed improvement with my erection w/o the injections. But, not hard enough for penetration. I want to try the vacuum in case I have to take injections for life. I'm 52 years old.

Good luck and let me know how it goes for you.

I am considering trying the injections. However, I have heard that they can be quite painful. What has been your experience ?

I used the injection method for about two years then gave it up. Sometimes it didn't work and sometimes it would - when it worked, the erection would take at least 3 hours to subside and that was a nuisance. I found that I could have enough of an erection, most of the time, to have sex without any assist. The main assist I needed was strong erotic attraction and that did not come in a vial or pill.
