I am thankful for knowing such a wonderful group of friends as you!
(and yes, Barb, I am thankful for all of my "pets" - of course, they're even MORE thankful for me - can you say delusions of grandeur?)
Happy Thanksgiving y'all, and to my Canadian friends - consider this an early greeting for you! And to my UK and OZ friends, I strongly recommend you work on getting a holiday like this - you get a huge meal, a couple of days off, crazy traffic, huge mobs at the shopping centers, indigestion, weight gain, commercialism, uh.... on second thought.... just hug your family and friends and let them know how much your appreciate them and contemplate all of the good things in your life. Ya don't need a special holiday to do that.
Cheers, all

Happy Thanksgiving to you too SpongeBob...and aren't YOU the early riser today!
I really enjoy the bond everyone on this site in this area has created. We have all looked to each other in times that were both happy and not-so-happy. Our experiences have made us all understand what "living life to the fullest" really means. We all share the common thread of being affected by this health condition either directly or through a loved one. Sometimes I think we all feel like a broken record, reciting our experiences over and over again. But taking the time to do that enables any newcomers to know that we understand and support each other during this time.
I personally am thankful to have been able to know each of you, even if it's only been virtually through the computer.
Have a great day!

H Bob and Stacy,
Seems fitting to "meet" you both here this early a.m. This year the spirit of giving thanks has been much on my mind, and this board has been a huge part of giving me the understanding, information and companionship that I have needed for my walk down this road.
Thank you all...posters, lurkers, occasional visitors, for the chance to be in this fight together. Stacy, I'm glad that you "veterans" have shared your story over and over; it made all the difference to me last year at this time! As you have said, we all have the opportunity to make something good out of our experience, and passing along your support is a large part of that.
Thank you again and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

And a great big thankful hug to you , George. Have a wonderful day and I will say a prayer for each and every one of my semi-colon friends at dinner tonight. ( as a group, of course, cause my turkey will be cold if I have to name each of you individually)
BTW George, there is a Seinfeld special on the telly tonight at 10 pm eastern time, channel 4 ( wnbc). Don't know if you can get that, but I'll be watching. And...the first couple of seasons are out on dvd!
Love ya,

Right back at you sailor!
I, too, am so very thankful for y'all on this board. It has been a relief these past three years to have a place to come daily, hourly, to find understanding for an area of my life that in a moment became the defining factor. August 6, 2001 will be forever etched into my mind.
And only you all can understand the depth of that feeling.
I am not alone and for that I am thankful.
My family is wonderful all the way around, but they cannot fathom how dark the darkest moments are, and they cannot rejoice with the same fervor the news of NED can bring.
And because I am not one who shuffles through life alone, I am so thankful that I have you all to trudge with me through the dark valleys and hike up the high mountains of healing and hope.
From this board I have made some closer relationships through emailing (you know who you are) but you all are friends that I cherish and pray for. I am thankful for that too.
It is going to be a good day today....even with the in-laws. I can feel it in my bones. :-)
I hope you all, where ever you are and whom ever you are with, find peace and comfort in the fact that today we are all alive and we have the hope of tomorrow.
peace, emily who is now going to peek at the turkey.....0 -

Hey SB, I'm a little late, but I hope you and every one here had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I did the shopping deal this morning. Got up at 245am and got ready and my daughter picked me aup at 415am, because a couple of stores opened at 500am. We had a wonderful time, as we always do. Hope everyone is doing fine. I'll keep you all updated with my appts. Next one is cardiologist, so say a little prayer. My ekg, echo and xrays weren't too good. But...I was able to put that aside and just thank God for all the good things in my life, including all of you. Love ya
Love and prayers, Judy)(grandma047)0
