I am 14 months out of my last treatment for base of tongue cancer. I recieved 35 radiations and 5 kemos. I've noticed some small bumps on my tongue toward the back. I talked to my companies nurse and she didn't feel that it was anything serious and I also talked to my family doctor and she didn't think it was anything serious due to the fact that I have a cold sore and she feels that the reaction on my tongue is probably from the virus. I have a call into my kemo therapyst and am waiting for a responce but I'm nervous. Has anyone had a similar experience and do you think this is serious???

It maybe nothing, but it would be a good thing to get checked out. It might be something as a simple thrush infection and your Radiation Oncologist or your Oncologist should be able to figure out what is going on.
