Sorry I have been so slow in responding. Pattie Bangle - who turned 60 in September - was one of the few folks I corresponded with off line here. She was a dear sweet friend and much beloved member of our little family.
On one hand I am so very sad. We'll miss her and her cheerful posts, her jokes about having to prove her age to her boss, and her remarks about blueberry smoothies.
On the other hand, though, I am happy for her that her pain is gone, her worries are released, and her next journey in life is begun.
She can be with us all now - all the time:
"Do not stand by my grave and weep
for I'm not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond's glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
When you awaken in morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circle flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand by my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die."
Pattie, wherever you are, we love you.
Cheers - one last time.

I just wanted to thank you all for the support you gave to my mother during the past three years, whether it be online chatting or the people who got together a large cash donation for our family a few months ago.
Everything you did for her, and thusly for my family, meant so much and she loved you all very dearly. My one brother and I were there when she passed. She was very peaceful and went quietly after being given her pain medication.
Her memorial service is on Tuesday, November 16th at 7pm. Everyone who wishes (and is able to) is more than welcome to attend.
