Karla,
I am so sorry for your loss. Although I didn't know Kris personally she was very special to me. She was one of the first people to respond to my first posting on this board when my Dad was diagnosed. There were similarities between her situation and his and she was so helpful and inspirational with the information that she would provide to me. We had e-mailed each other personally several times and I truly felt grateful for her. Starting sometime in August I noticed that her posts were not as often as they had been previously. I e-mailed her several times checking on her and asking how she was. She was always thankful for my inquiry and would let me know of the setbacks she was having at the time. She never once let on that she was so ill and she always wished me and my Dad the best. I will truly miss communicating with her and I send you and your family my deepest condolences.
Sincerely,

Dear Karla:
I've already expressed my deepest sympathies to you and your family on the passing of one of our dearest members Kris on another board but Bert and I would just like to add that we remember her well and will continue to do so! She blessed and enriched the lives of many and that cannot and will not be forgotten.

Kris was an amazing, vibrant, joyful, witty, terrific member of our family. I am sad that she is gone. At the same time I am reminded of something I recently read:
I'm Not Here
Don't stand by my grave and weep
for I'm not there; I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond's glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
When you awaken in morning's hush
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circle flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.
God bless you and Kris' family and friends. May her spirit be with you always in all the wonders that are our world.
