Help for Recurrence problems for Friend

A friend who was first dx with 2-3 stage bc 5 pos nodes Invasive ductal carcinoma (her positive). Then had recurrence in August 2003 with 3 nodes in the supraclavical area - surgery was done but one node counld not be removed. She did 37 rad treatments accompanied by 27 chemo treatments. Oct 13 had 3rd ct scan. Will see dr about ct reading Oct 15. She's had a hoarse throat for some time - and scared to death. Anyone help?

    Herceptin is real effective against HER2 breast cancer. The worst thing she can do is panic. Fear, while a perfectly normal reaction, is our worst enemy. Reassure her there are a lot of stage 3-4 survivors here on this board. I have been a stage 4 since 8/2001.
    This stuff is treatable and beatable!
    It's hard work and takes a lot of faith, but there is always hope.

    'Tis the season for hoarseness for everyone, but when I had radiation to the upper part of my two part series, the inner lining of my throat did swell and cause hoarseness for a while. Do suggest that she call the doctor, because if she does not, the doctor is only going to ask why she did not call right away. Why worry?
