I have to agree, the some have gotten off the subject of the M&M's & Northern donations. I didn't mean to offend anyone who doesn't eat sugar. So much food out there has sugar in it that we don't know about, all we know is the candy. All fresh fruits and vegetables have sugar. Do we not eat those? Plus I have even been told that the sugar substitutes have chemicals in them that are killing people also. Where does any of this end? I was basically posting that I thought M&M's and Northern were doing a good thing. Then from one posting I see everything went bad from there. The subject was changed to something different. Wasn't trying to start a debate.

Expressing and sharing different opinions is never bad. I rest my case. God Bless Linda

Karen, you don't have to apologize. I have my moments when I am very pashionate about things. I have my opinions and you get to have yours. It's great. I try and be open minded. I take what I can and leave the rest. Take care...

    Dear Karen,
If anyone should apologize it is me to you! I am sorry! I saw all the info about sugar and started asking questions about my diet and totally went off the topic of your post.

I happen to have a sweet tooth so I got a little freaked!

I was very interested in your post because as you now know I am not one to pass by an M&M - especially a pink and white one!

We don't have them here yet but I am looking!

    Again- sorry for doing that!

The thing for me is this. M&Ms are going to be sold, regardless of anything. And, the fact that Mars is giving proceeds to help fund cancer research through the Komen foundation is stellar, imo. Yes, there are all kinds of sugars and refined foods, and there are possibilities that they may not be the best thing in the world for my health, but, for me, I have to enjoy living too. I can't worry about every single thing that goes into my mouth, I have little control over a lot of those things. I would end up neurotic and have a heart attack from the stress..haha. So, we have to make our own decisions. I am thankful for any company that stands up for us and research. JMO though. It is all good.

No need to apologize Karen, a lot of times one subject leads to another on this site. Personally I think debate is good, it challenges the mind, and in the end I'd like to think we are all still dear friends. After all it is "US" against "IT". You should have seen some of the heated debates Ink and I got into. She is someone I highly respect and have become friends with, matter of fact I need to drop her an email.
