Hi Livin -livin said:Had my liver resection on October 20th out of the hospital October 22nd doing well. Occasional elevated temp pain bein controlled by pain meds. God is good.
I had colon cancer as well when I was 17 and had liver resection in July (32 years old now). I was wondering what type of cancer you had and how you are recovering because I am having a very hard time.
Thanks.

Hi Eli, I had a metast. from colon cancer I had in 2001. I also had breast cancer in 1999. I had had a liver resection on October 20th and was out of the hospital October 22nd 2004. I had a large tumor on the outside of the liver approx. 10cm according to the doctor. I have a long cut on my stomach healing nicely staples were taken out October 29th 2004. Waiting for to see Oncologist in about 2 weeks to get ready for chemo again. I had chemo in 2001 for colon cacer stage 3 2 pos nos. All I can tell you I know I am lucky have been through some hard times but still here. If you seen me it does not look like I have a problem in the world. I have had breast cancer colon cancer intestine broke during a colonoscopy, have a temp colostomy was getting the colostomy reversed in September until they found the mass on my liver which was a mestastics(sp) from my colon cancer which now makes stage iv colon cancer. God has been good to me. Getting stronger each day taking life one day at a time. You said you were having a hard time what do you mean? It could be that the location of our tumors plays a part of recovery? Mine was lower right lobe of the liver and in only one location. Not scattered through out the liver? My diagnois for liver cancer was one bad stomach ache and my appetite(sp) never returned to normal after my colostomy which was May 25th of this year. I could go alt all day without needing to eat. I hope you feel well soon. Livinelithehoff said:Hi Livin -
