Does anybody know if there's any way to receive Avastin in Canada? I know that we could look for a clinical trial but then you're not guaranteed to get Avastin, right?

    Sorry my friend, it is not approved in Canada yet, I don't know why, an expense thing I heard but no sense in starting rumours. The only way to get it is to go to the states, but I don't know why an approved drug by a medical research leader (US) is being held up when our health is concerned. I too am interested in this stuff, I have read good things about it.

    I don't know the legal stuff but I do know that Avastin costs me and my insurance company $5,000.00 a dose (does not include the infusion charges). Not as pricey as Oxaliplatin ($15,000.00), but more then most.
