Hi Clara,
The thing my radiologist recommended to me and it worked for me, was to use Vitamin E cream (not oil - oil & radiation don't mix) 30,000 IU. I found it at a health store (Vitamin cottage). Its a bit expensive, but worth every penny (also found that it heals other cuts, rashes, etc. too really fast). I think it was about $12 for a small jar, but it lasted thru most of the treatment too. I burned very little and when I did it wasn't until the 5th week of radiation. He suggested putting it on twice a day every day throughout radiation. I used to put it on right after radiation and in the evening before bedtime. Hope this helps you out. Good luck with your radiation too.

Thanks for the tip ... I appreciate it.chessie said:I just finished two weeks ago. Pure aloe gel works great. Had some slight burn,(had a large treatment field) but had more trouble with tiredness and loss of appetite the week after my treatment ended. Feeling better now. Good luck!

Tuscany, best tip i know to give you is to NOT use anything BEFORE your treatment in the way of oils or creams.. only after.. and drinks lots of water, eat healthy and get lots of rest because it can make you really tired. Good luck hon
