Hi Kevin,
Did you know there is an internet discussion group for survivors that has been in existence since 1998? It has almost 400 members some from your part of the country but also from the rest of the US and many other parts of the world. You can find this group by visiting www.acor.org and scrolling through the mailing lists until you get to the LT-Survivors group. That's the one you want to check out.
