Good Morning!!!!

Hi everyone,
I'm back!!! It's been 3 weeks since I last posted. I took some time off to help my mom through her recovery and I didn't have access the internet.

My Mom is doing GREAT!!! Her surgery was 2 & 1/2 wks ago and she's recovering SO WELL!!! Her surgery was 2 hours and they re-attached her without any complications. She only had one postive lymphnode - I expected MUCH worse. We have many appointments in the next couple weeks including one this friday. She's having the works - Ct scan, blood work, lung scan, the usual post op tests.

After being diagnosed on March 2nd - We've come along way and I feel more postive than ever!

I noticed many new members - Welcome. Sorry you have to be here but it is a great place for support. I met the greatest people on this network.

I'll be reading all the postings that I missed and I hope to talk to you all soon.

    Hiya Jules--hey --really happy for you n your mum.Send our luv to her pls.Bet that is a load off Julie--so good to hear that your mum is doin ok.Now don't you go letting her say no to a little help--it is a long road to full recovery and she will need all the rest she can get.We hope that allthe tests are precautionary and that she will come thru them well.

    What great news for you and your mum. I was also 1 positive node, and went on for 6 months of chemo. I truly found the first few days after surgery to be the worst part of this journey, and even those weren't so bad. your mom is lucky to have you and all your support.

    Thanks Judy!!! I was surprised to find out it was only one node. I expected so much worse. CONGRATULATIONS on finishing chemo and thanks again for all your kind words.

    Your exactly right about the surgery. My mother has 2-3 bad days and then everything went up hill from there.

    Julie, so glad that your mom is doing so well and that you yourself are doing good too. It's all gonna be "smooth" sailing from here girl and our prayers are with you for continued good news for your mom.

    thanks monika!! i've been reading the posting i missed and im happy to hear that bert has finished all of his treatments. great news! keei in touch!

    Hi Julie,

    So glad the surgery is over for your mom and that she is doing so well. One node positive - that is good news. I had two positive nodes and 6 months of chemo. Prayers do work and we'll keep you and your mom in our prayers.

    Thanks Kerry! Prayers really do work! My mother has tons of angels on her side :)

    Congrats to your mom on such wonderful progress Julie! You are a great daughter who really needs to be commended for being such a terrific support to your mom. I'm still going to keep you and your family in my thoughts for a smooth remainder of the year and MANY MORE TO COME!
