YEA!!!!!!!!!!!
Haven't posted in a long while, but I have been keeping up. I'm happy to see new names on the board. Support is so critical and this board is awesome. Just wanted to say that the latest CT shows that the cancer is still confined to my lungs and a surgeon has agreed to operate!!!!!!!!! I'm so incredibly happy!!!!! Was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on thoracic surgery. I have multiple, bilateral mets. 7 spots on the left, 4 on the right. Any feedback would be great.
I must now do a dance of joy in the streets, scream from the hill tops, get wasted, ect.
Lots of hugs and love,
An exuberant Andrea

Wooo-Hooo! I hadn't seen anything from you in a long time and I was really concerned. Sounds like we all need to head out to the street and do a big chorus line happy dance together!
I am so glad to hear good news about you. I hope everything in your life is going well.
I'll go out tonight and "get wasted, etc." for you - after a good sushi dinner. You know, they just don't do sushi on military vessels!
All the best!
(Lisa Rose - you don't actually think Calgary can take the Stanley cup... do you?)

HI Andrea, and congratulations! I believe we have the same diagnosis, and possibly the same
chemo protocol-(see my update this date) After a recent CT, I've got about 4 spots left out
of an original 20+ bilateral. originally the surgeon said surgery wasn't possible, because of
the size-(1-3mm) and the amount of tissue damage from suc a surgery. I did have the thorasic
surgery for biopsy, and the mets were confirmed.
I would be interested in maintaining contact with you, and comparing notes..I plan to ask my
doctors about the possibility of surgery also.
I also recently heard of a new procedure called targeted ablation, and although I believe it
is experimental, I think MD Anderson is working on it. I would be happy to share private e-mails
if you are agreeable. Bud0 -

I think I would like to use a lifeline on that one.
So let's use our 50/50 and poll the semi-colons.
Who wins the Stanley Cup.
Calgary Flames OR Tampa Bay?
Are you buying the first round?

Hey Andrea,
It's sooo good to hear from you. I've been thinking about cha and sending power thoughts your way. What good news. We are all happy dancing for you, although my kids encourage me to stop for the sake of my dignity.
(I do think your screams of joy were even heard here in New England
Keep us posted on what the surgeon has to say.

By the way, for those that are concerned, I don't really walk arond (stagger) drunk all the time... I do a lot of joshing about this whole drunk sailor thing, but I am quite the responsible imbiber.
Anyway, Being a former TB resident (for some 6 years), I have to go with the boys from the bay.
