My May counts were up some more and the Doc says we didn't beat this but now we'll manage it. He is really hesitant to start me on any chemo because of all the nerve damage that has been done from the previous chemo. I have a CT scan on Monday to see if the cancer shows up on the scan yet. Cancer cells have to be over 2cm to show up on a scan.
I said if you wait until they show up on the scan the chemo can't kill them, as they have to be less than 1cm to be killed. That is when he said we would manage the cancer and then I knew what he was saying .... NO Cure!
I cried and know I will cry some more but will learn to live with the disease or in spite of this disease. After I think about it I have already lived with it for several years... so what's a few more!
Nothing profound to share, I feel very tired and wore out tonight. But tomorrow will bring a new day and the sun will shine and the life will continue.
Thanks much for your prayers and support.

Bonnie:
My heart goes out to you, as well as my thoughts and prayers. Please refresh my memory as to where the cancer is located. How high did your counts go? As for the nerve damage, if that's the only reason he doesn't want to start you on chemo, could it be your choice? And,if so, is it something you would want to do? Again, my heart aches for you. May HE be your peace in all of this.

Bonnie Rose,
I am so saddened to hear of your current problems. I wish there was something I could do to help. Sometime it just seems like we cant get a break and it is so unfair.
I know you have a strong faith and that will be a big help in dealing with this current setback.
I know you will do what it takes to beat this beast down again.
Prayers will be said for you.0 -
Hello,
I am sorry to hear about the rising tumor markers. Sometimes the numbers do climb without explanation, stress can even cause them to increase. I hope your scans come back normal. Stay strong in Hope and Faith. My Mom suffered from neuropathy as result of Taxol therapy. A Cancer Treatment Center prescribed a different chemotherapy drug Camptosar (CPT 11). It has been approved for colon cancer, but it has also been successful with ovarian and cervical cancer. My Mom was originally told she would never enter remission, but she did. Your Faith will also pull you through. You are in my prayers.
Best wishes & God Bless,
