Gliadel wafers

Good Morning Nan. I had the gliadel wafers installed when I had the resection. But I don't really know if they helped. I was glad they were in there since I didn't start my ry radiation and chemo until three weeks after my operation. I have heard they last for about 21 days. And knowing how fast this kind of tumor can grow, I was glad to have something working on it until I started my rad and chemo.
Is Dale looking at having these installed?

Yes, Tom, he is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, May 19. The last MRI showed swelling, and neurosurgeon thinks it may be new growth, although he says that it may not be....just won't know for sure until they get in there.TAremote said:Good Morning Nan. He is having it at Olathe Medical Center on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Dr. Steven Hess is doing the surgery again, and we have complete confidence in him, so we are hoping for a good outcome.TAremote said:Please let me know where and what time. I might be able to drop by...
