Hey Guys,
Some of you may know me from the chatroom, I am an almost one year survivor of breast cancer. I just wanted to share some information you may find helpful.
Some of you may have heard of this magazine before..CURE.. The spring issue is "Into the Brain"
If you have not heard of the magazine before, you can get it online at wwww.curetoday.com, you can also subscribe free of charge. It is an awesome magazine with all the new cancer information of drugs and therapy's, and clinical trials.
I hope you will find this infomation helpful in some way, as I know many of you who post here from the chatroom..take care friends and see you in the chat..

    Congrats on your surviving breast cancer. Thanks for the tip on the Cure magazine. I am trying to contact survivors of a brain tumor glioblastoma multiforme. My sister in law was diagnosed with this very aggressive tumor a couple of weeks ago.

    Hi Hope. I have stage 4 Glio BLastoma. Diagnosed last July. What is it that you would like to know?? I have had a resection and the glio wafers last Aug 21st, then 6 weeks of radiation along at the same time, chemo (temadar) which started on Sept 12th. I have now completed 7 rounds of chemo, 5 days on and 23 days off. Since the operation I have lost some of my vision in my left eye, have some short term memory, and cognitive thinking issues. But other than that I'm doing very good. And Oh, my tumor is located on the occipitial lobe which is your vision..
    Where is your sister in laws tumor located?
    If you need more info please let me know.. Nanc721 can also provide help, her hubby also has GBM...
    Let me mention, the most important role you can play for your sister in law is to just be there for support, nothing special, just let her know that your there to support her. This tumor is no longer the death sentence it was in the past. Many people have survived this cancer. Be positive, and focus on the journey, not the destination.

    I think we might have similar thing going on. I also have breast cancer and just finished all the treatment and when it was all said and done it had gone through the blood to the brain and I now have 3 brain tumors we are working on. The pet scan was clear everywhere else. Things have been very scary as I have 5 children 2 very young. The waiting is the worst and I have a very strong faith. I have the book from the office just yesterday The Cure it was all about the brain but not really to my subject. Lisa
