Hi, has anyone found out that they had a polyps on their cervix? I found out a month ago and the doc send there was no reason to remove it, its not dangerous for cancer but I am so terrified that it could. has this happened to anyone else?

I definitely agree with Dessiree about getting a second opinion. Last March, I went to my gynocologist for an exam and he found a small polyp on my cervix. He told me that it was small enough for him to twist off so he could send it away for tests to make sure it wasn't something to be concerned about. That evening when I got home from work, I looked up some stuff on the internet about polyps and found that most likely, they are not anything to be worried about. However, two days after my appointment, my doctor called me to inform me that my small polyp held an amazingly large amount of cancerous cells. I had a radical hysterectomy in April for cervical cancer and have one month to go before I can celebrate being clean and clear of cancer for a year. So DEFINITELY!!!!!!!!! Get a second opinion, get a third opinion, however many it takes to make you feel comfortable. Better yet, have the doctor remove the polyp and send it for tests. You may be fortunate enough to have a non-cancerous polyp and you can set your mind at ease. I hope that is the case and you'll be in my prayers. If you want to talk or anything, you can e-mail me.0
