I hope you had a great weekend!
I'm starting a new thread as the column just got too narrow to read. I hope you don't mind.

    hi Misae,

well, here we go again... i'm having anther spot removed on tues 22nd. will let you know how it goes. as the doctor implied - rome wasn't built in a day. it's about a 2cm x 2cm spot - VIN III. he thinks he can get it all without having to do a skin graft. here's hoping!
congratulations on your daughter's engagement! will this be the first of your children to marry? very exciting!
my husband is a registered nurse in the intensive care/critical care unit. very stressful on him. he has returned to college to get his bachelor's degree. hopefully that will make him eligable for a mangement position when all said and done. it's a lot of strain on im physically and mentally, besides he's not getting any younger!
as far as the ingrown hair, i think it just went away on its own. i'm not bothered by it anymore.
can't believe it's almost march! easter is just around the corner. that means spring won't be far behind.
we've planned a vacation for this summer - going to the outer banks of north carolina, house on the beach, nothing like a relaxing week at the ocean! can't wait.
looking forward to hearing from you

    Hi Diane,

I hope you're home now and that everything went ok. OMG, I hope the Dr. got clear margins and all of the VIN III. I hope you didn't need a graft. I hope a flap was enough for you if you needed reconstruction. I'll be praying that you'll heal fast and you don't have much pain.

Yes, she's the older one (28), and the first to marry. She has one younger brother (26), and he has started college this month. He'll be working 50% and going to school for the next 4 years.

I think it's great that your husband is going back to school. It must be exciting for him and for the whole family.

You're right that it's almost March, but I'm sitting here in so much snow, this winter seems to last long in Switzerland. We're suspecting a white Easter this year without flowers:(

Wow! Your vacation plan sounds great. It always helps us keep going when we have something to look forward to :)

We made our vacation plans for Sept. and have booked everything, so this year I'm seeing my Dad and step Mom in CA. I haven't seen them for 4 yrs. My daughter visited them last summer, so this year, it's my turn :)

Let me know how everything went when you can sit and feel better again. I'll be waiting to hear from you. Take care, and no need to say, but, lots 'n lots of fresh air down there.

    Love,

    Misae

Hi! Great that you didn't need the graft, but I'm so sorry that the margins weren't clear. I hope that the VIN area that was left behind is only a mild dysplasia so maybe your body can take care of it by itself by June. Do you take supplements or do anything special to try keep the immune system going at its best? When I think that you have to get cut every once in a year, even if it's a small area, it's quite discouraging. But is this our lot to face for the rest of our life?

I'm doing okay,... I stopped smoking 6 weeks ago, and since then have gained weight which doesn't do my lymphedema leg very good. Now I have to start concentrating on losing weight, but I'm determined to never smoke again. hehe. I've been having problems with my computer this winter, too, so I think it's time to get everything backed up and will reload my OS.

I wish you and your family a HAPPY EASTER! My kids are gone on their vacation, one to Paris and the other to Italy, so this Easter will be very quiet for us.

    HAPPY EASTER!
    and
    take care,

Hi! good to hear from you. Very glad to hear you've quit smoking!!! I never smoked but do have a lot of bad habits that need to be addressed, so I can imagine it can't be an easy thing to do. Keep up the good work!
Easter was nice. Once again like all our holiday's it was quiet and uneventful. We're very boring.
which of your children went to Italy? were they there when Pope John Paul II passed? What an awful thing. He was such a great man. (my Polish pride coming to surface!) Should be interesting to see who the conclave will chose. I'm not one to keep up with the Catholic religion but this is fascinating.
Hey! You have a wedding coming up next month don't you? How are the plans coming along? I wish your daughter and her future husband the best.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi Diane,
You sounded so upbeat in your last reply, you sound like you're doing great and enjoying the nice spring. I hope I'm right.

My 26 yr. old son Marcel was the one who went to Italy. He was there before Pope John Paul II passed. He took his mountain bike with him to ride in the Toscan hills. When we're still freezing from the winter cold in Switzerland, on the southern side of the alps (Italy), it's already spring and beautiful. He seems to have enjoyed getting lots of sunshine and exercises.

My daughter Evelyne (28) who's getting married on the 25th of May went to Paris to watch a soccer game (Switzerland vs. France). She came back with a soar throat, and ended up having a pneumonia and bronchitis. She was in the hospital for 5 days, but now she's home, hoping that she'll be on her feet before the wedding. She's feeling better the last 2 days, so I'm relieved.

The wedding plans are... I would say finished. She still has to go (when she's feeling better) to get her wedding dress adjusted around her waist. She did most of the planning herself, and I think that made her get into some kind of a stress and got sick.

Im going to gain a very nice son-in-law. They'll make a fine couple. Thanks for your nice wishes for the both of them.

I'm going on Monday (18th of April), for my next check up to the gyn/onc. He's the one who did the surgery, and I'm a bit nervous if he'll find anything suspicious this time. I haven't noticed anything myself, so I hope everything is still okay, but maybe he can see something which I can't. I hope he does the vinegar test to see if there's any dysplasia showing up.

I'm quite happy how the scars turned out after one and a half year after the surgery. Boy was I scared a year ago when it was so raised and sensitive. I really thought it was going to stay that way for the rest of my life. Thanks Diane for listening and being so supportive when I needed someone to talk to about it, and for all the friendship that followed.

I hope you're enjoying how it's getting warmer each day.

How have you been doing? I hope you and your family are doing fine.

    Take care,

    Misae
