I got the book, it's fantastic. Thank you to whoever recommended it, I forget now who. The author does talk a lot about "underlying cancer causes", I hope he elaborates on it. What do you think are those? Everybody probably has their own, but can we call them something like psychological or spiritual causes?

    Hi Tina,

I also recommended this book to my own oncologist who was diagnosed with colon cancer last February. I told him that he should hand it out to each of his patients. Maybe someday....

I am so glad you like it. I tell everyone about it since it covers so much no matter which course of action you choose...

    Happy New Year!

Thanks 2b, I will not put this book down untill I am finished. My onc would never read it, he only believes in sceince. He is a hematologist oncologist and unlell he can see it under the microscope, it doesn't exist. He told me not to take any vitamins last time we had chemo. This time I am going to demand an explanation for forboddong the folic adic. I hope he can come up with one, I am not going thoruhg it without vitamins again. But he wants to hear nothing, he doesn't want to read nothing, as far as he is concerned he is a genious and can't be improved upon. But I will make a believer out of him yet! :D

Hi, Tina and Happy New Year.

A couple weeks back you posted an inquiry regarding any organizations that might help provide financial relief. Here ya go:

the Saron Osborne Foundation (yep, Ozzie's wife) She's a CC survivor, too, and wants to help people who are alone and undergoing chemo.

    Here's the link: www.SharonOsborne.com

    Hope this helps.

    Try this link.

    http://sharon.warnerbros.com/showinfo/resources.html

It won't take you to the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Foundation site (if one even exists - Google can't seem to find it - maybe Sharon and Ozzy were smoking the same thing yesterday when she gave out that URL? - I just consider that job security for me!)

Not an exact fit, but certainly chock-full of cancer resources.

Happy surfing - that's not a big pass-time where you live - the wet kind anyway, is it nanuk?

Bob, thank you so much for the link. You never know when you will need help. I saw some references to financial help available on some cancer board 2 years ago when I had cancer the 1st time, that's why I asked if anyone else saw them. I didn't write them down then because I was able to work on 5FU/LU injected on Fridays, by Monday I could go back to work (in most case), so finances wasn't a concern. After Oxa/Xel I am sick/weak for a week and would be able to perform my duties at work. Fortunately, my company has developed a new program for employees on disability tol go in effect today in fact, which allows them to work as many days as they are able and have the disability for the rest of the time. So I will try to work half the time, and have the infusion twise a month. I haven't cleared it with my doctor, but when I got the company newsletter for January couple of days ago, I got so excited that I could work whenever I felt good! I hope my doctor will say it's okay, and I hope I continue to feel good enough for the two weeks when I don't have the chemo. Did any of you reacted worse as the time went by, I mean did the toxicity built up with every cycle by any chance?
