To all Who Read this:

Michael Jackson has finally fallen from grace. For years he has cooped himself up with the kids of America into his Neverland Rach and finally he has fallen from the grace of America. I use to listen to his music when I was growing up and since this he has repulsed the world by his wierd attitude and looks and now his actions towards children. A grown man sleeping in the same bed as small children. I hope and pray that they take his kids away before they get hurt becasue now that he has fallen maybe the world will get him the help he needs befroe he hurt ssome one beyond repair.

I am sorry. This is going to sound rude, but life's to short. WHO CARES! The only reason this is on the news is because the media thinks we want to know. Who cares.
As for the child in question. Where were the parents who let a child be alone with this freak.
Who cares? Not me. The child needs our prayers. Beth

Kelli, I'm no Jackson fan, but one thing I've learned in life is THINGS ARE NEVER WHAT THEY SEEM.
I remember how the media condemned Richard Jewel (Ithink that was his name). They had him guilty for setting off a bomb at the Olympics. He was innocent.
I e-mailed NBC , when they made a breast cancer treatment error.......they never responded. I don't have much respect for the media........all they care about is money.

    Hi Kelli:

I never really knew that M.Jackson was ever in any particular, qualified state of grace. My thoughts are simply "here we go again". Another day, another celeb in the hot seat.

If we, as parents, do not take precautions in
safe guarding our children, then it is we who have failed them. The parents of the child in question did not just relocate to planet earth and surely were aware of similar previous charges against Mr. Jackson, several years ago. What were they thinking and how "out to lunch" were they? (The previous case was settled out of court in an amount between 15 and 40 million dollars, by the way...exact amount was never publically disclosed) If the parents of the child involved in the previous allegations were really seeking justice, then no amount of money would have caused them to drop the case. Just my thoughts about that.

Anyway, sorry your hero has fallen but his music WAS awfully good, you know. Whatever else ails him, he can certainly sing and entertain!

    Love, light and laughter,

I may be wrong but the way I read this note from Kelli is not as a defense of MJ, but more of a 'he finally got what he deserved'. Sad to say, but this perverted freak has been idolized by millions in the midst of his bizarre behavior with children. In that respect I too think MJ has fallen, his time has come; which is probably a blessing to both he and any future victims. Which may include his children. A vicious cycle is what this seems to be, as we all know MJ's father was abusive himself. Now, we shall see if justice indeed will be served!

You know, I was a fan of Michael Jackson, the Jackson Five, The Osmonds, and David Cassidy. I'm going back in the mid-70's. MJ is my age and yes, they were good and he still is but the only problem is that he changed along the ladder of success. He was better looking before all the surgery and I think he's a disgrace to his people for wanting to be something he was not born with. People loved him just the way he was, why change. And also, what kind of parents do these kids have, knowing his past charges, leaving their kids hours and hours with him. I do hope justice takes it's course. He's a sick person who needs help and his own children should be taken away from him. He's making them freaks like him too. Poor things.

I didn't perceive Kelli's post to be in defense of Mr. Jackson either.

He is, after all a celebrity. We know that celebs march to a different drum. They typically live in a different world altogether. One which most of us could not even conceive. So, he's different looking, by choice or whatever means. But that IS his choice. Just as you or I may change our hair color, just because we can, he has perhaps chosen to make more permanent and dramatic changes, just because he can. Maybe just all part of the persona he wished to project? Who knows.

As for judging him a pervert: To my knowledge, he has no prior convictions of record, so we've no evidence to support his being a pervert. Different and seemingly strange, yes, but the court system will decide whether he has committed the crime of child molestation, wreckless endangerment or whatever the formal charge may be. Any such charges are very serious and I too hope that justice prevails.

We here in America do so enjoy sensationalism. At almost any cost. If the child in question has made a false allegation, then my heart goes out to Mr. Jackson. If the allegations are proven, beyond reasonable doubt to be true, then Mr. Jackson will be punished, deservedly so, as would anyone else found guilty of such a sad, sad crime. My heart would break for the child, as he would likely carry the scars of having been victimized, for life.

It is my understanding that the child in question was a cancer patient and a guest at Neverland Ranch. It has been well publicized that Mr. Jackson hosts disadvantaged/ill children at Neverland. He has reportedly provided nurses, nutritionists, special assistance, including hospital beds, wheelchairs, complete with IV poles and whatever other equipment may be needed, etc. Everything a child (or adult for that matter) could possibly need to support and enable them to make such a trip while not well. What a sad punctuation to his generosity and caring it would be if he is ultimately found guilty. We'd all then likely wonder whether his generosity/caring was genuine at all or merely convenient to his purposes. It's enough to cause us to begin to question people with the kindest of hearts and the most noble of intentions at every turn. A real trust buster, particularly concerning our children.

Whatever the outcome may be, I cannot, in my heart of hearts, absolve this child's parent/guardian of the irresponsibility, in leaving him alone, when he was already vulnerable. Although my son is a big strapping teenager now, if he was ill, either his father, myself, a capable and trusted family member or some of his best buddies would be with him 24/7. Anything less seems a lapse of consciousness when someone is too ill or too young to take care of themselves. Even more important for a younger child.

One thing we cannot do is accurately assess damages before a storm actually passes through. We'll have to wait and see.

With this, as in the natural way of things, we each have differing thoughts and opinions. Meanwhile, our earth still spins, the sun still rises and most importantly, we continue to care.

I think there is something really wrong with Michael Jackson. When I first seen him dangle his child over a high window,I was shocked.I would never have done that to my child. It not even looked terrible but what if he had a sharp pain at that moment. His reflex might of caused him to drop the baby. What about the baby? He didn`t seem to be enjoying himself with a blanket over his head and feet kicking everywhere.
I don`t think people would even dangle their pet out a high window. By actually seeing this and not just by hearsay I have to say Michael has done something wrong, but what? ,I don`t know. As far as a child having cancer and being in the charge of Jackson,I have to also wonder about parents. I guess fame and money go alot farther to those parents than protection of their own child.........

Ink, I knew we had an agreement whereby we "agree to disagree"!
Ahhh! All is right with the world again.
The only problem is I agree with you in regards to the child's parents. What the heck kinda people are they to leave their child with such an oddball?
AS for the child...it is a sad crime, and personally the burden of proof in a crime like this should, I think, lie with the accused. It's hard for me to imagine the guilt, shame and embarrassment one must endure to come forth, and publicly announce something so personally offensive!
As to no prior convictions of record...no he has none, possibly, maybe, let's see CAUSE HE BOUGHT HIMSELF OUT OF THEM!?
Not sure about you Ink, but where I come from, we consider holding an infant over the side of a balcony railing wreckless endangerment.
Then again, he's MJ, he has a right to express his inner personal feelings. He just doesn't have a right to do it to or with children.
The man's a pervert, he's gone from black to white, wears a mask, covers his face with his hair, lives in Neverland and thinks 'sleeping with children is a beautiful thing.'
I do have enough compassion to hope they don't put him in with the general population, course I also have enough intelligence to know it'll never get that far...
and OJ's hand didn't fit in the glove either.

sweet-onion, you're right but it seems that actions speak louder than words. He's not innocent in my book but that's MY opinion. Like some others have written about him, he's not in his right mind, dangling his child out of the balcony and making his kids wear masks so no one can see them. That's sick!

    Hey Hummer:

    Thanks for your thoughts.

And so it would seem re the "agreement"! Ha. "Ebony and Ivory" seems to fit us. Or perhaps this oldie:
    Isn't it rich?
Are we a pair? (Send in the Clowns...remember that one?)

We have demonstrated our "opinionated" personalities here before and will surely do so again. Isn't it great just to be here and able to do that? So much really IS well with the world when we reduce it all down to it's most simple relevance. That being today, here and now. My thoughts: Accepting that we cannot change our world...only choose to make positive contributions to our own little slice of it. Caring for and about other's,
helping in our chosen fashion(s)and feeling satisfied when we lay down to sleep each night. Hoping that we made some small difference in someone's life. Our greatest hope being that if so, they will pass it on. Through giving of ourselves, we can help to build a kinder, more caring, safer world. In that way, we can ALL contribute. Proferring one's hand, caring and concern, to those within our reach, without judgment, is the best we can do.

Of course you and I seem to take that one step further with our little periodic, diametrically opposed debates on various and sundry issues. Guess it's just in us. So, are we a pair or what? Ha.
