Anxious about biopsy

Finally, after 3 weeks I have an appointment to see the plastic surgeon who reconstructed my breasts. I wrote earlier about a lump on the scar from the non-reconstucted breast. Now I have two lumps in the reconstructed breast that had cancer (they remind me of the initial lump). I'm having trouble sleeping and getting increasingly anxious. I wonder if when the cancer returns in a reconstructed breast it feels like the initial lump (sort of like a pea deep in the tissue)? I also wonder what they will do? Do they remove the reconstructed breasts if the cancer recurs? I know I'll find out soon enough and it may be nothing, but I'm getting increasingly anxious. I guess I just need to pray for patience

You saw the MD about the lump on the scar from the non-reconstructed breast right? Didn't it turn out to be scar tissue? Maybe that's what these lumps will be, just scar tissue.
Prayer is the best solution to help you 'hurry up and wait'. I'm impressed you're finding the lumps. Mine have gotten so lumpy since this whole ordeal began I wouldn't know a new lump if I had one! Keep us posted. Prayers for peace and a clear check up. God bless. hummer

Actually, when I saw the oncologist, she said it could be a skin metasistis and wanted me to see the plastic surgeon. I couldn't get an appointment until Oct 14th so I'm still waiting on determining what the first lump was and have two new ones. I appreciate your suggestion that prayer helps and have been praying for patience. I'm also taking a relaxation class and am using deep breathing. I'll have the biopsies Tuesday and then I guess I probably have to wait another week to find out what is going on. I'll let you know what's happening. Thanks. Sandis

Having trouble sleeping is awful and makes everything worse. First, you can't get to sleep. Then, when you get to sleep, you can't stay asleep. It is terrible. I am so sorry for what you are going through. It stinks. Love, Denise
