3 year survivor

I am now considered a 3 year Cancer survivor! I am reposting what I wrote after the first year, because I still feel the same way if not more so..........
God has been good to me! Cancer has given me a new beginning, an appreciation for life that I did not have before.
Before , I was alive, but I was not living! I was bored, unhappy, frustrated, stressed out and spiritually sick. I had no Joy in life and no thankfulness. Having cancer has healed my spirit and opened my eyes to a life of thankfulness. Thankful for warm cozy slippers, thankful for V8 juice, thankful for sweet grapes, thankful for gardens and trees. Thankful that I have a family and friends that love me. Thankful that I can take a deep breath full of fresh air. Thankful for feather comforters and lazy-boy recliners. Thankful for music! Thankful for another day of life and the realization of what a precious gift each day is! Thankful for you, my friend........this may sound hard to believe, but if it meant losing all that I have learned and the person that I have now become, I would not change having had Cancer......and would choose to do it again.
one thing I'd like to add is -thankful that God has given me the opportunity to help others through this journey as nowadays it seems that at any given time I know at least 2 people battling cancer

Hi lindysu:
I agree! It's a time to celebrate life and make it what you really want it to be! KUDOS and thanks for such an uplifting, positive post!
Congrats on your 3 year survival! I'm a bit behind you, being 2 years out, but what a joyous, rewarding 2 years it's been!
Keep that spirit alive and continue to share the joy!
Love, light and laughter,

Congratulations on your 3 years and I agree with you. I have been a cancer survivor for 1.5 years and my life has been much more rewarding and enjoyable since my diagnosis.
Thanks for the message and God bless...Cheryl0
