Pink and White M&M's

I hadn't heard about the M&M's but happened to see a small, rather obscure display a couple of weeks ago in my grocery store. They were not with the candy and there was no sign. The little bag was secured by a pink breast cancer ribbon and that's what caught my eye. I live in upstate NY (near Albany) and found them at Hannaford, which I believe is a New England based chain. I purchased several bags and gave them to women that have been supportive to me. Also, Pier I Imports has beautiful covered candles that come with a BC pin and 10% of the price is donated. I've been giving those as thank yous to all the friends who've babysat and cooked for my family.

I had not heard about the pink and white M&Ms, but thought Diane's idea of giving them to the special people whose support has made an enormous difference is a fabulous idea! I'll keep my eye open now that I know they ought to be out there, and let you know if I find them. Part of the problem in finding them may be that the candy is frequently in more than one area of each store at this time of year because Halloween is coming. I tried a Google search on M&M in order to find out if the company posted any information about their breast cancer awareness program, but was not able to find the information quickly and could not recall the name of the company that makes M&Ms. Hugs, Denise
