I found a comparison of Armidex vs Tamoxofen on a websearch and part of it mentioned: ARIMIDEX had an increased incidence of musculoskeletal disorders (joint symptoms including arthritis, arthrosis, and arthralgia) in comparison with side effects reported by patients taking Tamoxifen. Hope this helps. Guess it is just "part of the territory." Others' messages on the board have mentioned effective relief with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications like Advil. Don't hesitate to call the Oncologist to mention your discomfort and ask for suggestions on how to manage it. Hugs, Denise0

Hi, I have been on Tamoxofen and Arimidex, with the Arimidex, I have terrible leg and foot pain. I was just started on Celebrex, and it has worked wonders. Celebrex, over a long period of time can upset your stomach, so you may need Prilosec or some other medication. It seems that one medication begets another, and so on and so on. Good luck, give it a try.0

I/ve been on Arimidex for 8 months now and have alot of joint and bone pain. Bone pain is listed as a side effect. I am also now anemic and my MD is ruling out other causes before saying the Arimidex is causing this hemologic change. The Arimidex and I don't seem to be getting along too well. Every joint in my body hurts/aches. I cannot take tamoxifin because of blood clots that occured during first round of chemo. The pain pills I am taking don't seem to help much. I have an appt with the doctor on Monday to discuss this and will post after I find out what if anything they can do for it.0
