Taxol, How is it Different from A/C

I too have found that taxol is MUCH easier than a/c. I don't have any nausea, and I have minamal joint pain, nothing that advil won't handle. With a/c I was in bed for a good 3 to 4 days after. With taxol the biggest side effect I have now is fatigue. I'm on the 8th of 12 weekly treatments and if my butt was dragging anymore I'd be paving roads. Besides that, I feel pretty good. I've always been able to eat, just need food that's spicey enough to get past the awful taste in my mouth. If you tolerated a/c well, then you should breeze through taxol. Other than nausea, which they managed by the second dose and tiredness, A/C was not that bad. Oh, how could I forget, my hair fell out. Taxol is a very different experience for me. I guess I am just lucky. The bone and joint pain has been very bad, my nails a lifted a little so I cut them short and I have tingling in my hands and feet. I also had an allergic reation to something after the 1st dose, not sure it was the taxol but they had me start the decadron the day before treatment. The allergic reaction was a rash on my arms, legs and back. My theory is I am allergic to trees and since taxol is made from the yew tree, it affected me more. The dermatologist said it made sense to her. The oncologist did not agree but just said I was reacting more than most. I hope your treatments area going well. I have my last today. I guess that is why I have been up since 4:30.
