One of the greatest sources of strength lies in how many treatments are now available for us, and although you are on a scary piece of unfamiliar ground, try to focus on the fact that this procedure is for your benefit. You will absolutely be in the prayers of everyone. Love, Denise0

I met a woman from Florida who had to come back to Canada and have transplant far away from her family with 5 children. I think that the less visiting is almost better because she sure didn't feel much like visiting. Sure there is a couple of months she had to wait till got her treatments so could of had her family around her. It is amazing what people have to do to get the treatments they so diserve. You have found a place to lay your worry and talking about is the best that you can do. Email is available in most libraries so you can be in touch most of the time. I think it was just really 2 weeks that were a time she couldn't get off ward.DeeNY711 said:One of the greatest sources of strength lies in how many treatments are now available for us, and although you are on a scary piece of unfamiliar ground, try to focus on the fact that this procedure is for your benefit. I have had the stem-cell transplant. It isn't easy, but it's easier than you think it is. I pray for you and ask God to ease your mind and heart and bring you thru your journey safely just as he did me. I have passed my 5-year mark since my stem=cell. It saved my life. I had less than 6-months with out it. Now my hair is back, my energy is up, and I can live a normal life again. I wish the same for you, You will be in my prayers,Von0

Hello Vac. Last year I went to Moffitt for my lumpectomy and axilla surgeries. What a great group of caring people they are. You are in good hands there and that may calm you some to know that. I live about 2 hours from Tampa. My first surgery was an outpatient procedure. The axilla one I had to stay overnight because of the drain. My experience with the center was a positive one and now I am almost one month out of treatment and getting stronger every day. You have my prayers. (((hugs)))0

May God bless you with good results from your stem cell transplant vac. I know a little boy who had SCIDS (severe combined immunodeficiency syndrome). He had a stem cell transplant back in March and now he is essentially healed! Thier technique has really advanced in just the past year. I'm sure you will do fine. hummer
Dear Heavenly Father I ask that You bless this lady with a peace of mind that surpasses all else. Provide her with doctors, Lord, who have the expertise and knowledge to treat her successfully. Surround her Lord God with Your angels of mercy and healing, and comfort her Lord with the knowledge that You are in control. That everything happens according to Your perfect will. Bless her Father in a way that brings You all the honor and glory. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.0
