My mother passed away from bc mets. I sat vigil with her for 18 hours until she left us.
I was begging the lord to take her- it was so hard to see her suffering. After she died my aunt told me that she was ready to go a couple of weeks ago, but she didn't want to die before or on my birthday- May 18th. She died the next morning. I am so glad she is not suffering anymore. I wish all of you the best of luck and hope and strength. I pray that someone will find a cure for this dreadful disease.
I miss my mother so much- it doesn't even seem real. My 2year old still asks for her. We miss you mom.

I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was so lucky to have a daughter like you, that was with her to the end. God bless you and your family.mc2001 said:I am so very sorry for you. You have been through a lot. Your mom is at rest, now. My prayers are with you.

I understand and send my love. I too sat with my mother for her last few days of life. I would not have had it any other way. I miss her terribly and its been ten years. I cherish the memories of her and know I'll see her again one day in the presence of our Lord. My heart goes out to you. Time will heal the pain, but your love for her will last forever. GOd bless you.

I am so sorry for the pain you are in right now. There is nothing quite like a mother's love. My step-dad lost his battle with melanoma several years ago and I remember how hard it was to release him at that time. I can only imagine the pain you must be in right now, but please take some comfort in knowing that she now has a perfect body. While you are dealing with all the every day realities, please remember to be good to yourself and know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of more people than you know...0

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and each member of your family. I lost my dad 15 year ago from cancer and I do understand the loss of a parent. Take whatever time you need to heal. Something that was told to me was a huge help so I want to pass it along to you: In the next few weeks you will possibly dream about your Mom and times you spent together or she just may visit you in a dream. Don't be sad when this happens - this will be a special time again with your Mom. Embrace it - it will then become a precious memory. Lots of hugs your way.........0

I lost my sister 18 mo ago to breast cancer at the age of 40. I am a hospice nurse, but never dreamed my sister would be my favorite patient. She taught me alot and I will always cherish those last days together. I believe God gives those in their last days a glimpse of heaven, that is what prepares them for the journey and make it possicle for them to say good-bye. If your mom was at peace and ready, I'm sure she knew where she was going. What a privledge it is to share those final moments and know when our loved ones leave us they are looking into the face of God! pam0
