Hi, I am wondering if anyone can tell me if it is normal to have a weird feeling in your arm following a biospie. My girlfriend had a 'vacuuum biopsie" (perhaps the equivalent of a needle aspiration?) yesterday. A few hours afterwards she commented that her arm/hand was feeling as if it was always asleep - we thought it was due to the reduced movement, but now we are starting to wonder - should she head in to a doctor to get it checked out?? Any information greatly appreciated.

Sorry I think it was Stereotactically Guided Mammotomy that she had yesterday. Just looking at the info on different sites and the description and images fit what I saw...

    Hi there,
I don't know if you need to run in to the doctor, but I would definitely call the surgeon and ask him/her if the symptoms she has is normal. Sometimes, if there is compression on a nerve in the region it will give numbness and tingling for awhile. But give the doc and call and see what he/she says. Hope all goes well.

Thanks for the reply... thankfully it seemed to get better during the day, so that by the time I met up with her after school she decided it was ok... now we just have tog et through today - to get to the biopsie results tomorrow...

I remember when I had mine. My arm felt so funny and I didn't think I would be able to use it again. I ended up giving my straight sift car to my son. Not to fret thou, It's been 5-years, and I now have another straight shift car and I have no problem with it. Von
