seeking solace

Hello,
I am a single mom getting worn down in year 4 of cancer surgeries, treatments, etc. No one else in my family or social groups has cancer, so I'm feeling a bit isolated despite my regular counseling. Seems ironic that my deepest thoughts and feelings are shared with someone who is a relative stranger! I've reached a point where I feel a need to connect with others who are going through this unique journey, and would appreciate the input from anyone kind enough to take the time.
best wishes,
Kristy

Hi Kristy, Cancer reeks havoc in all aspects of our lives. I am a 2 1/2 year survivor of ovarian cancer and my husband is currently battling Stage 4 Renal Cell Cancer. It is very hard for people who have no experience with cancer how traumatic it is.The Csn is a wonderful place to find friends who have or are at this time walking in your shoes. I urge you to visit the main chat room. There you will find a host of new friends who know exactly how you are feeling. If you need to talk you can always e-mail me at this site. Feel free to anytime.
Love and Prayers

There is going to be at least one person here all the time. If that doesn't work please look me up I will be happy to listen to what is going on with you. I have Yahoo Messenger, my id there is casrvivr1.
God Bless you Kristy. I will have you in my thoughts.

Hello, My name is Diann, I'm also a mom of 2. About 5 1/2 years ago. I had my left kidney taken out, Because of caner. Now all this time. They tell me that my blood count is 7.9 . They tell me it should be around 5. For the past month and a half I have seen so many doctors and had so many test. Right now i'm all black and blue. So far the test that I know about has come back neg.But the one I'm worried about is the chest. My Father died about 2 years ago from lung cancer. And my grandfather that I didn't no had lung caner too. I'm scared and worried that that one might be positive.0

Hi my name is Jaimee. I am sorry that you are having such a difficult time. I was just diagnosed with stage IIIB Hodgkins Disease. I too am a single mother of two small children (6 & 3). It is so discouraging when others don't understand what you are going through. If you would like to e-mail me, I would love to hear from you. Nofeargirlx@hotmail.com0

I was dianosed with Chonic Lymphatic Leukemia (CLL) in '96. This is not a fatal leukemia I have been told. Two years ago in April, I was dianosed with ovarian cancer. I had 5 chemos. It came back, so had 6 more chemos. I had a perfect check-up in April of last year. By July, it had come back again. I took radiaiton treatments, which made me very sick, from August until October. I've made it this far without a reaccurance. If I can come thru all of this, you can too. Have faith, pray alot, and tell the demon cancers that you are going to be the winner!!0
