I developed a seroma after a lumpectomy and radiation that was surgically cleaned out and now the wound is healing from the inside out. It has been over 2 months and the wound is still over 3" deep, I have nurses come every day to clean and pack the wound. The majority of the pain seem to come from the ribcage and I was wondering if the radiation could have damaged the ribs. Is there anyone who had a similar experience - I would love to hear from you!
Thanks

Make sure they culture it to rule out infections w/ aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. Would also ask for chest x-ray just to make sure bone not infected or involved (osteomyelitis). Just a suggestion. By the way your not a veggitarian are you? Do you take a multivitamin? Are you a diabetic? You can email me on site if you want.
